Gerald Franz is Vice Head of the department “Environment and Life” at the Lower Austrian Energy Agency, a governmental institution on energy and environmental issues, where he works on environmental counseling for the public and local communities as well as public awareness and outreach to communities and decision makers with capacity building in local communities. Mr. Franz is responsible for transport projects, including bicycle campaigns, bike sharing systems and electric mobility. Prior to joining the Lower Austrian Energy and Environmental Agency he was head of sustainable mobility at “die umweltberatung” Environmental Consulting Lower Austria, he was a junior researcher at Vienna University of Business Administration and a Junior Consultant at Kerkhoff Consulting Gmbh. He has a Master’s degree from Vienna University of Business Administration and a degree in Systemic Management from the University of Graz, Austria.
