The Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy Network

November 19, 2015

What can we expect to come from the much anticipated COP21 in Paris, convening in just a couple weeks time? While it will not be the panacea many hope for, do we have reason to be optimistic? Will it usher in a new era of truly global climate action?

This year’s Ecoscholars Kickoff Event was co-hosted by theDr. Camilla Bausch, Director, Ecologic Institute Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy Network (ELEEP), and featured a talk by Dr. Camilla Bausch, Director of Ecologic Institute in Berlin entitled What to Expect From COP21.” The lecture provided a brief overview of developments in the past few years before delving into the current discussion surrounding the much-anticipated meeting at the end of this month.

Afterwards Emma Zinsmeister, Science Fellow at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, spoke to the U.S. perspective on COP21, providing insight on the role that the United States is likely to play.

A recording of the event is available on YouTube.
