Sadya Ndoko is a Programme Officer in the Adaptation Programme of the UN Climate Change Secretariat. She provides technical support to the Adaptation Committee, the principal body under the Climate Change Convention providing authoritative advice and guidance on adaptation. Earlier, she provided technical advice to the Least Developed Countries Expert Group on national adaptation planning and implementation in least developed countries.

Prior to joining the Secretariat, Sadya managed large urban rehabilitation projects and programmes in low-income neighbourhoods in the Caribbean. Work included coordinating the construction of social housing units, the restoration of part of the built environment, water supply and sanitation work, and the installation of recreation areas.

She holds a Master’s in City Design and Social Science from the London School of Economics, a Master’s in Political Science from the Université des Antilles et de la Guyane and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University College London.
