Aurelia Figueroa has provided energy sector policy and investment analysis in international organisations, the public sector and private sector. Currently, she is a Policy Analyst and Researcher at the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), a leading development policy think tank globally. Her research focuses on energy sector finance, risk management for low-carbon development, and the governance of international energy industry co-operation. Most recently, she contributed as author and editor to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) publication Meeting Global Challenges through Better Governance: International Co-operation in Science, Technology and Innovation. Prior to joining the DIE, Aurelia completed a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship with appointments at the Energy Policy Division of the German Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology (BMWi) and in Government Affairs at Siemens AG. Aurelia holds a Master of International Affairs degree with an emphasis in international economic development from Texas A&M University.
