Devin Hampton currently serves as a senior advisor for emerging markets in the office of fossil energy at the U.S. Department of Energy. He leads a multi-year engagement strategy to assist emerging hydrocarbon producers in developing resources responsibly with a view towards integration with global markets and their role in energy security, offering economic opportunity for local and US firms, and their responsibilities for global commitments about climate change, environmental stewardship, and safe operations of hydrocarbon production.
He is also a member of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Africa Task Force, aimed at crosscutting DOE programs and initiatives in Africa with the goal of partnering with African nations to deliver comprehensive energy solutions including regulatory and technical capacity building in gas to power, solar, microgrids, energy access, geothermal and infrastructure.
