Hamza Tahiri is a young entrepreneur in the cleantech industry. After his studies in France and Singapore, he moved to China and worked for the French government in the renewable energy sector in Beijing. While studying the solar panel industry, he noticed the unsustainable aspect of this green technology, as all the manufacturing waste and end of life panels ended in landfills. In order to make a positive contribution to the society and the environment, he created a startup, focusing R&D on innovative recycling process as well as collection methods in Europe. He then worked on the conception of software to manage the traceability of dangerous wastes, as well as training local authorities on how to securely manage them. He is also member of the Global Shapers community.
