Sam Jammal is Director for Policy and Electricity Markets and Regulatory Counsel for SolarCity. SolarCity is a clean energy company based in San Mateo, CA. Prior to joining SolarCity, Sam served as Chief of Staff to US Congressman Tony Cardenas (CA-29), where he managed the Congressman's offices in Los Angeles and Washington, DC and oversaw the Congressman's political and policy agenda. Sam served in the Obama Administration as a political appointee in the US Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security and as Legislative Counsel to US Senator Michael Bennet. Upon graduating law school, Sam worked as a Legislative Staff Attorney for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF). Sam is licensed to practice law in the state of California.
