Shawn Affolter is a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. Senate, where he has worked for the past four years on policy issues relating to energy, environmental, and natural resources. In this role, he has been involved with various legislative and U.S. policy initiatives, regulatory issues, the federal appropriations process, as well as stakeholder relations. A native of North Dakota, he has seen firsthand the all-of the above energy development and innovation happening within the state. In the fall of 2008, Shawn was honored to serve as a White House intern in the Office of Cabinet Liaison. Mr. Affolter holds a degree in Political Science and Economics from North Dakota State University.
