Adapting for change and approaching water scarcity: ELEEP’S California Study Tour

In March 2017, a group of ELEEP fellows traveled to California to learn about various climate change adaptation methods, as well as approaches for managing water scarcity. The group met a number of prominent leaders and experts, took part in planned and implemented initiatives, and discussed present and future concerns and possibilities.

Lessons from the European Study Tour on Climate Change Adaptation

While the idea of climate change mitigation strategies are mostly well developed at global, national, and local levels, the field of climate change adaptation has become increasingly important and relevant. In the fall of 2016, a group of 12 ELEEP members visited London, Brussels and Rotterdam to get a feel for the many different facets of climate change adaptation in Europe.

Lessons from Texas on the US Energy Transition

The second study tour of the 2015-2016 ELEEP Fellowship Class took place from 22 until 26 February 2016. On the study tour 16 ELEEP Members visited numerous cities in the state of Texas to explore the driving forces of the US energy transition. Key themes of the tour included wind and solar development, power markets and hydraulic fracturing.

Lessons from Denmark and Germany on the European Energy Transition

The first study tour of the 2015-2016 ELEEP Fellowship Class took place from 21 until 25 September 2015. On the study tour 15 ELEEP members visited Denmark and Germany to explore both opportunities and challenges of the European Energy Transition.
